Mar 04, 2010 · I decided to make a theme for all Blackberry Tour's. This theme changes the 1XEV icon to 3G so everyone can now have the infamous "3G logo" In this theme: 1) 3G logo across all CDMA carriers 4.7 & 5.0. 3G with Blackberry logo = 1XEV 3G without Blackberry logo = 1X 3g = 1xev.

Nov 28, 2009 · Hey everybody, I've had the tour for 3 weeks and my brother just got one. In the right corner mine just says 1X but his says 1XEV...So does that mean he has EVDO? We live about 30 miles north east of St. Louis MO, but in IL - has EVDO been rolled out around here? I'm just wondering about the difference...Why isn't my phone picking up the 1XEV?

The Tour doesn't work on an Airave at all. If I have my airave on here in the house I can't make ANY calls. As soon as it's turned off it works, i just drop most of my calls. Supposedly Airave techs are aware of the problem and are working on it. When i talked to them on Wednesday they told me it should be resolved by today.

Jan 24, 2011 · 1XEV means 3G in Verizon language...It's actually 3.5G. You actually should not see 3G on your device. Verizon Blackberry Tour operates on CDMA --which uses EVDO Rev-A...this means you'll see 1XEV which means you should be pulling 3.5G (technically faster than 3G).
