The Altgeld chimes have always seemed like the beating heart of campus to me. I'm glad to hear that the administration seem to be intent on keeping the chimes in working order, and I hope that players can continue to be found for the chimes. I have been somewhat worried about the chimes, ever since they built the McFarland bell tower.
