Aug 29, 2009 · Tour length was 12 months. Most did just one. I know plenty of guy's that did more than one. Not sure if they all volunteered or were just sent back after a couple of years. Billy, of the 2,600,000 that set foot in Viet Nam 650,000 were draftee's. The war was not fought by draftee's.
