Battleship Memorial Park is now open to the public. The battleship USS ALABAMA, submarine USS DRUM and the Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion is open for tours. Beginning Thursday, July 16, 5:00 p.m., the Governor of Alabama’s “Safer at Home” Order will require all people ages 7 and older to wear a face covering while in public.

You get to tour the submarine and the battleship together. There is a lot of climbing steps/ladders and walking on uneven floors and tight hallways. I do not recommend to bring small children, but a very cool experience. Only part of the ship has air conditioning.4.5/5(3.8K)

USS Cod will officially open on Saturdays in April on April 18 and 25. Daily tours will begin on May 1 until Sept. 30, 2020. Cod will then be open only on Saturdays only until Dec. 12. Our tour day is 10 am to 5 pm. Last visitors go below at 4:30 pm to ensure enough time to see the entire submarine.
