Warning this will wipe all your 3rd party apps so know which ones who had or have a back up of them all. 1. Now that I've got it up and running to I need to reinstall the latest OS (.57) separately before restoring my recently backed up data and programs or will a restore of a full backup take me back to .57 without having to install it separately?

Nov 11, 2009 · So my issue is identical to this one. I can't get the apploader to connect because my berry is stuck on the screen with the reload software 552 message. Inside Blackberry DEVICE manager, it says connected via USB-PIN. Inside Blackberry DESKTOP manager, it says disconnected and all the options are grayed out.

Jan 16, 2010 · Well, I had to update to the "unofficial" BlackBerry Tour 9630 OS 5.0.0.230. Once I did that, no more Software 552 errors. I've heard that BlackBerry Tour 9630 OS 5.0.0.273 (again, unofficial) is also available. I hated being afraid to install new apps! I'm also surprised RIM makes no acknowledgment of this problem.
