    Aug 16, 2011 · The Kitty Hawk is decommissioned, but held in reserve by the Navy until 2015. Until then, it's in Bremerton, but there's no public access to the ship for tours. If the ship's namesake has its way, it will be made a museum in North Carolina when the Navy is finally finished with her.
