However, the #999 and Cherdchai are not the same. #999 is the government bus and usually quite good; Cherdchai is the company that runs the other big bus service from BKK to Trat. Your post says to beware of Cherdchai, but you say you took #999. Unfortunately, these problems are common and depend mostly on the driver.
