What we do Dade County AGRI Council's mission is to raise awareness about local agriculture through the annual "Ag Tour" and to grant scholarships to students who are studying agriculture, mostly at the graduate level. Scholarships are awarded during the luncheon portion of the Ag Tour. Scholarships are funded by donations, and endowments .

Tours were first conducted by the Ag Division of the Dade County Chamber of Commerce, starting in 1963. These were continued by the newly formed Dade County AGRI Council, Inc., starting in 1968. The Ag Division members and associate members were convinced of the need to continue to promote of Dade County agriculture.
