Sep 13, 2014 · Recently the EV Tour X speakers dropped in price and they look solid. So I would consider a pair of TX 1152 and a sub pair of tx 1181. Both pairs powered with two crown amps XLS 802 model, In bridge mode. (1600 watts in mono bridge) (One amp per side, sub and top, the tour x series manual states the sub has a built in crossover)

Mar 25, 2009 · The EV Tour X's I listened to were the TX1152 (15") not the TX1122 (12"). So all of my original comments relate to the TX1152 and not the TX1122. I have to agree Bud with your comments on powered vs passive speakers.
