As a precautionary measure related to COVID-19, the entire Fermilab site in Batavia is closed to the general public. This includes access to the walking/bicycling paths. All public events and tours are canceled, postponed or held remotely until further notice.

    Feb 27, 2020 · Fermilab's site is open to the public every day of the week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from November through March and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. the rest of the year. A map of Fermilab's public areas is available online. Fermilab visitors are allowed to visit two buildings on their own: Wilson Hall and the Leon Lederman Science Education Center.

DZero and Tevatron Tour - Fermilab

    Tour DZero, one of the two experiments that discovered the top quark.. Program: Tours include a visit to the DZero detector and the control room (where the screens replay images captured during DZero detector operation).They culminate in the detector and its collision hall. In the assembly hall area there is a special explanatory display. Limited photography.
