Gazelle Tour de France 1977-1980. This was the first adult bicycle I had, and the first with gears. The photo is from 1979. Its colour was brown, and it had two chain wheels (52-47) and five sprockets (13-15-17-20-23). I used it to ride to and from school, about 18 kilometres per day. The gears I used most were 47/17, 47/15, and 52/15.

Gazelle Tour de France 1977-1980 In 1980 this bicycle was stolen at school, just a few weeks after the insurance had ended. Bystanders encouraged me to steal another one right away - everyone did it, they said - and one offered to steal a particular bicycle (which we saw standing there) for me for fifty guilders.
