It's probably broken. Take the guitar back and get it exchanged for a new one. I had the same exact problem with my Guitar Hero 3 guitar when I bought World Tour and I had to return the guitar and the game since the red button was sticking and/or wasn't working.

Jan 01, 2009 · i bought guitar hero world tour tuesday and somtimes when i hit the red drum pad it makes the yellow symbol (yellow drum) hit when i havent accauly hit it , this is realy a problem when im in certain songs it doesnt occur when it hit it softer but when im in the mood of the song i stop thinking about hiting it softer , if any 1 could help me that would realy be helpful.
