    It it an awfully long way from Powerscourt to southwest Ireland. I suggest you break up the long-haul with an overnight somewhere. You need a couple of hours at the Rock of Cashel. A couple of hours for Cahir Castle (one of Ireland's best). An hour or more for the Swiss Cottage (I loved this one).
