Aug 28, 2015 · Our tour also was much closer to 2 hours than to the advertised 2 1/2 hours. Overall, it fell short of our expectations (per the brochure) but was fun and not a bad experience. I would say to take the tour from Kona instead of Hilo and temper your expectations4/5

The Friends of Iolani Palace did such a wonderful job in retrieving and restoring many original furnishings and items owned by the royal family. The audio tour was informative and easy to follow at your own pace.
