Jun 28, 2009 · Mt. Vernon was beautiful, graceful and peaceful a true gem. I caution anyone on spending the extra $5 per ticket for the National Treasure tour, it was a bust. Our kids have loved the movies and were excited to see "behind the scences" as advertised.4/5(4.6K)

We enjoyed taking a tour of the home and surrounding buildings. One of the interesting areas of the house is Washington's bedroom.
