Mar 10, 2020 · Visitors must enter the NIH campus through the NIH Visitor Gateway Center, which is located steps from the Medical Center station on Metro’s Red Line. Pay parking is available near the Gateway Center and in front of the Library (NIH Building 38). Visitors must provide a government-issued photo ID to obtain an NIH visitor pass.

The Gateway Center is the main entrance for all visitors to the NIH campus. Each year, approximately 1 million people visit the campus. May 06, 2020 · Visitor parking is extremely difficult to find at NIH, so if at all possible, take public transportation. There is a Metro station on the NIH campus with shuttle bus service to the main buildings. Short-term, metered parking and long term, attendant-controlled parking are available to visitors at a cost of $2 per hour for the first three hours or $12 per day.
