One last tip: I booked a tour at Nirwana Tour & Travel. DON'T BOOK WITH THESE GUYS!!! They ripped us off by telling they would pay for the fee for the park. They gave me and my girl 25000Rp each for the entrance fee. When we got in the park it turned out to be 75000Rp!!!

Seriously, you don't even need a tour: Just go to probolinggo, arrange a bus to one of the villages close to bromo, get up at 0300AM (like we did for the tour) and start walking, you'll be up the first look out point for some sightseeing, the walk to Bromo after that will be much longer I must say.
