Nov 09, 2012 · I have personally done the SoCal Tracon tour and it was amazing. I found out about it by signing up on the FAA email list regarding upcoming seminars. At the SoCal tour, they first did a Q&A with a few of the controllers. They encourage constructive criticism among pilots / controllers. Plus you get the opportunity to hear some interesting stories.

Jul 29, 2006 · Make sure you have a valid Oregon driver's license (it may take more time to approve the tour if you're viewed as being out of state), and are a U.S. Citizen (probably not a problem in your case ). You'll need to be flexible with when you can tour, as they have to make sure there is sufficient staffing.
