Titleist NXT Tour - Is it dead? Two Guys with Balls

    https://twoguyswithballs.com/blog/titleist-nxt-tour-is-it-dead/
Mar 10, 2018 · The NXT Tour S is a high-performance ball which delivers low driver and iron spin which creates outstanding distance but gives excellent shot stopping ability. The NXT Tour S ball has a lower compression which is great for lower swing speeds because the ball compresses quicker than a high compression ball.

The NXT Tour S, like its sibling, blurs the line between the "premium" and "tour" categories. In the not-so-distant past, premium balls were considerably harder and produced a lot less spin. Now, many premium models are as soft as, if not softer than, some tour balls, with only a tad less spin …

Now, even if the NXT Tour is softer than ever, Titleist made no compromise in terms of spin and distance around the greens. The NXT Tour is perfectly capable of managing identical amounts of spin (compared to the previous gen) on wedge shots and even less spin off the driver than the Pro V1, which plays in a totally different league price-wise.

Aug 29, 2014 · I got almost identical ball flights to the Pro V1 and Pro V1x, about the same speeds, and a little less spin with the NXT Tour. When I would hit a lower shot into the wind, the Pro V1 would spin way to much. The NXT Tour's however drop and stop. I see minimal difference's in distance off the tee and with irons. I also still receive just as good short game control. Overall, with the lower price and lower spin, I would reccommend the NXT Tour any day over the Pro V line.
