Youth Tour – Oklahoma Electric Cooperative

OEC’s best-known and most anticipated youth program. Perhaps OEC’s best-known and most anticipated youth program, Youth Tour is a week-long, all-expenses-paid educational trip to Washington, D.C. in June of each year. OEC annually sponsors four delegates—all juniors—from high schools within its service territory on Youth Tour.

Youth Leadership Council: Alumni: Sign Me Up! Student participants in the Oklahoma Rural Electric Washington Youth Tour may apply to be Oklahoma's representative to the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Youth Leadership Council (YLC). The YLC is composed of one of each of the 44 states that participate in the Youth Tour.

During Youth Tour, a student is selected to represent Oklahoma on the NRECA Youth Leadership Council (YLC). The student representative returns to Washington, D.C., in July for a leadership workshop, which focuses on the electric cooperative industry.
