Hi, It is easy to travel by Open bus in Vietnam.You can go from Hanoi to Sai Gon with 1 ticket and stop over in Ninh Binh, Hue, HoiAn, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Mui Ne.Especially, It is safe enough !!! There some Bus is Carmel Bus, Trekking Bus, Hung Thanh Bus,...costs 500.000VND ~ 600.000VND/1 V.I.P ticket ( Sleeper). However, in my experience, you should go by train combined with going by Bus.

For example on a route HOI AN - PHONG NHA Camel Tour is the best option when it comes to day time traveling. So far I have done only one day trip on a sleeper bus in Vietnam and that was on Camel Tour. No, it wasn't a nice experience and I didn't do research in advance.
