On June 2nd, 2019, the CFUW Orillia Annual Homes Tour for Scholarships was another sold-out success. The tour was attended by about 500 visitors, who also enjoyed the Tea at the Fern Resort. This fundraiser began in 1974 and, since that time, has raised over $250,000 in scholarship funds for 650 young women from Orillia.

By hosting an annual Homes Tour, funds are raised for the Scholarship Fund. All female graduates of Orillia High Schools, including the Learning Centre, are eligible to apply. Members join Interest Groups to fit their passion and make new friends. The annual Holiday Dinner and Silent Auction raises money for the club’s operations.

Fall Tours Orillia & Lake Country Tourism

The Canadian Federation of University Women (Orillia) Annual Homes Tour and Tea will be held on Sunday, June 7th from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. The tour features five outstanding local homes and includes a Tea at Fern Resort. The Tea will be held from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Proceeds from this event go towards funding scholarships for students seeking post-secondary education.
