    May 19, 2010 · There is no maximum number that the PGA Tour, European PGA Tour, USGA, R&A use as a max although, as an approximate guide, the US PGA Tour will typically work with the course superintendents to keep the greens around 11-12 feet (Augusta National, which is not set up by the PGA Tour, has faster speeds that will run 13-15 feet on the stimpmeter).
