Operation mindcrime is a classic album. I own the CD of mindcrime I & II as well as Queensryche - Operation Livecrime (1991) on DVD. I just purchased at the Moore. Here's a quick breakdown. Visually: Mindcrime at the Moore LOOKS great. It is visually far superior to Livecrime.4.6/5

Feeling a sense of revolution, Niiki seeks out the notorious, Dr. X, whom uses a form of drug to ...

Operation: Mindcrime - One of the best CDs ever, but the style's a bit harder edged than Empire. If you're not new to Queensryche, but consider everything after 'Insert Earlier CD title here' crap, then you probably won't like Operation Mindcrime II, although it feels closer to …

Operation: Mindcrime II should not exist, at least not as an album released under the Queensryche name. The fact that it is a sequel to the greatest prog metal album of all time was puzzling enough when it was first released in 2006, but a few more details that have come to light since the band’s 2012 schism make it even more frustrating.

To put it simply, "Operation: Mindcrime" is without a shadow of a doubt the absolute best album that Queensryche has ever released hands down, and it continues to be a true landmark in Progressive music. It is definitely right up there with other Progressive classics such as "2112" by Rush, and "Images and Words" and "Metropolis Pt 2.
