Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour - how did it start? / The first Tour took place on the weekend of May 20 and 21, 1972, cost $12.00 per person and covered accommodation at Queen's, breakfast, Hershey chocolate bars and a crest. Eighty riders departed Ottawa and 65 returned the next day.
