Jan 11, 2020 · Scion Exchange Our annual Scion Exchange in January is the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay area’s major exchange of dormant propagable fruit material. At this event, run by the Monterey Bay Chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers, we distribute scionwood of hundreds of varieties apple, pear, plum, peach, apricot, and other species.

North American Scion Exchange has 3,886 members. This is a place where people who are in the United States and Canada can find, exchange, and discuss scion wood, rootstocks, various fruit trees, and other orchard plants. Those trading scionwood with other countries are encouraged to obtain a phyto-sanitary certificate.

We focus on sharing free scion wood from all sorts of fruit trees and vines — common favorites, heirlooms, rare and experimental varieties – usually 500+ varieties.
