We did the Sound of Music tour with Panorama tours and loved it. There was free hotel pick up included. We did a day trip to Berchtesgaden by ourselves using bus 840 described above. We found the Obersalzburg Documentation Centre to be a very interesting insight into Nazi military history. Entrance is only 5 euros including the audioguide.
