Sep 24, 2010 · When we did a similar excursion years ago, transportation was by boat (30-45 minute ride to St. John) and the truck/bus to Trunk Bay. One of my favorite islands with beautiful beaches. Only down side is that Trunk Bay can get a bit crowded for me, and you don't get enough time there.
