Take a walking tour of Stanton Hall, a lavish Greek Revival-style mansion of a cotton merchant. The house served as a family home, housed Union troops of the Civil War, and was used as Stanton College for Young Ladies. Built in 1858, the home contained marble mantelpieces imported from New York and massive French mirrors and chandeliers.
