    The Tour de Wyoming planning committee is comprised of 24 volunteers, with most residing in Laramie. The Tour de Wyoming and Cycle Wyoming are fully volunteer driven and have no paid staff. The goal of the Tour is to keep the costs minimal to make it inviting even to the first time rider.

    Click here for Ride With GPS Link. Day 1 (July 12) we pedal 72 miles from Rock Springs to the southern end of Flaming Gorge Reservoir to stay for two nights at Flaming Gorge Resort (click on name to go to their website). It is a very scenic ride but, at times, with minimal shoulders.

    The majority of riders on the Tour de Wyoming use road bikes with drop handlebars and skinny tires or gravel-type bikes with a wider tire. The range of gears is up to the individual but a triple or compact double is recommended. Mountain bikes with “slick” tires are another option. E-bikes that are pedal-assist only are allowed.
