The road conditions are poor and the traffic so heavy, it took us 6 hours each way to travel from Guatemala CIty. Our driver was very good, but there was only so much he could do. This would be better as a two day trip until roads improve. However, Copan is a very interesting site, so for those with a strong interest, it may be worth the effort.
