Apr 19, 2018 · In 2009 CE the ancient synagogue of Magdala was discovered by the archaeologists Dina Avshalom-Gorni and Arfan Naijar from the Israel Antiquity Authorities, at the north of the Franciscan area. A stone block discovered at Magdala has a relief of one of the earliest representations of a seven-branched menorah over a pedestal.

Mar 31, 2017 · Magdala is a #1 site! Jesus was there for sure and you can see the remains of a synagogue were he would have certainly taught! The excavation has uncovered some beautiful tiles and artifacts. The location is easy to get to and doesn't require a lot of walking.5/5(1K)
