May 14, 2019 · The tour was called, VERGER GUIDED TOUR. We decided to pay a bit extra and go on this guided tour. It was well worth it. The verger was knowledgeable and he took us into areas and up stairs that were off limits to the general public. May 24, 2017 · We gave our tickets, and asked for a verger guided tour. 10:00am tour was sold out, but 10:30am was available. We had to wait 30min or so to start, but we decided to go for the verger guided tour, £5 per person! The website says limited 10 people, but they take 20 people in one tour. Our 10:30am tour was only 12 people.5/5(24.1K)

I also highly recommend the verger tours. Though they are at set times, the groups are only allowed to be so big. When I took a tour in September, they quit selling tickets at about 10 minutes before the departure time because the group was as large as the ticket agent thought it should be.
