Jul 14, 2012 · The orginal Rock Tour Customs with the long lugs were made from Birch and Phillipine Mahogany (known as Luan) and were coated on the interiors with a very hard phenolic resin coating that really enhanced the volume and attack of these drums. They were indeed quite loud drums and extremely underrated IMHO.They came in a limited amount of colors.
