I was already a fan at this point, but I was only 13 and didn't know many people who liked this sort of music, and I was then under the Rolling Stone-influenced delusion that the only "good" Zappa was the early Mothers albums. So I missed out on what turned out to be Zappa's last tour.

Aug 12, 2003 · The band (as as been mentioned) were typically awesome. I remember hearing a FZ interview on BBC Radio a while later where he never went into much detail, just that they fell apart - the other members refused to play with Scott Thunes. FZ said the cancellation of the remainder of the tour cost him personally somewhere in the region of $250,000.

Dec 21, 2011 · 1) Mike Keneally (Steve Vai's replacement as Stunt Guitarist in FZ's band) was the only band member who took the side of Scott Thunes, Zappa's totally brilliant but obnoxious and caustic bass player and appointed "Clonemeister" (person appointed by Zappa to rehearse the group until he shows up, basically imitating what FZ does) for the 1988 tour.Reviews: 88
