Oct 01, 2019 · We had made reservations to take the tour several months before our trip. The Eagle Butte mine is the only coal mine that offers tours in the Gillette area. The coal mines are surface mines. They have two tours a day - 9:00 and 11:00 -Monday through Friday only. The air conditioned bus only has space for 24 people. Our bus had 20 people.4/5(45)
