Feb 11, 2014 · We took the free bus to the Grove itself arriving late in the day. As we disembarked from the bus we thought that the Big Trees Tram Tour was our only option to see these magnificent trees. It cost $25 a person. Re: Big Trees Tram Tour The Park is just a little bit quieter in September, but weekends can still be pretty busy. It's possible that there will be crowds at Glacier Point, but my guess is that if the lot fills and rangers stop folks from driving up the Glacier Point Road, it would be after 2 pm. But that's just my guess!
